Tuson’s Asymmetric Sway Control (TSC-1000) works differently: it’s a patented, independent left/right braking system, the same underlying principle used in modern vehicle stability control. The unit monitors trailer yaw up to 200 times a second, and when it detects the onset of sway, it applies braking independently to the correct side of the trailer to counter the sway directly — rather than just slowing everything down and hoping the trailer settles. Tuson’s own testing shows the asymmetric approach delivers a meaningfully bigger reduction in sway than mechanical systems, especially in larger sway events, with less speed lost in the process.
