Refund Policy

You are entitled to a Refund OR Repair OR Exchange OR Credit if the Products you’ve bought are;

  • Faulty
  • Significantly Different to those shown or Described to you
  • Not doing what they’re supposed to do.

You must provide Proof of Purchase for a Refund

When you buy, you should choose carefully.

You don’t automatically get a Refund for;

  • Simply changing your mind
  • Discovered the Goods Cheaper Elsewhere
  • Knew about a particular Fault before buying the Goods
  • Damaged the Goods by using them in a way they were not made for.
  • No Proof of Purchase is provided (Receipt or Bank Statement)
  • Used for any other purpose other than Personal or Domestic Use

Please keep your Invoice/Receipt as proof of Purchase.


Return of Faulty Goods under warranty:

Goods that are faulty may be returned for repair, replacement, credit or exchanged for other goods. The conditions of this are listed below.


  • Date of Purchase.
  • Model / Manufacturer/ Part Number.
  • Invoice/ Receipt .

Ballarat Trailers & Towbars must be allowed to test any equipment before a credit or replacement is considered.

Goods must be returned in suitable packaging and contain all items that were originally packaged with the product.

Goods must be suitably packaged to insure no damage occurs during transportation.

A replacement will in most cases be considered if the product cannot be repaired. A replacement can not be given if:

  • An equivalent product is not currently available, or the product is no longer a stocked item. In this case the product will be returned to the manufacturer  for replacement or repair.

Goods that are returned under warranty and are tested to have no faults will incur a $50 Testing Fee.

All inward freight will be the responsibility of the customer. Ballarat Trailers &Towbars will pay the cost of returning warranty items to the customer.

Ballarat Trailers & Towbars will not accept responsibility for any damage or loss suffered by the customer.

Ballarat Trailers & Towbars will not accept any repairer invoices unless prior authorization has been obtained with an authority number.

Ballarat Trailers & Towbars warranty will not cover any call out charges.

Ballarat Trailers & Towbars warranty will not cover goods which are physically damaged. A product is considered physically damaged if:

  • The product has damage that is evident and could not reasonably have resulted from normal operation.
  • The product has been modified, altered, or the manufacturer deems the product to have been used for purposes other than those intended.

If you receive a product that is damaged in transit from us to you, you should:

  • Refuse to accept delivery of the product,
  • Direct the courier to “Return goods to sender” and
  • Notify our Customer Service staff immediately.

If you have already accepted delivery, and then notice that the product appears to have been damaged in transit, you should notify our Customer Service staff within 7 days of delivery.


  • Stock Code/Part Number
  • Invoice/ Receipt Number
  1. Return of goods for Credit, replacement or refund.

Products purchased from Ballarat Trailers & Towbars may be returned within Thirty (30) days for credit, replacement or refund. After this period, credit, replacement or refund will only be considered if special arrangements have been made or if the goods are deemed to be faulty.

Goods that are returned to Ballarat Trailers & Towbars for credit, replacement or refund must be in the original packaging. The product and packaging must be in a saleable condition, which is at the discretion of management. Credit, replacement or refund will only be considered on products with damaged packaging in the following circumstances:

  • The customer agrees to pay a restocking fee of 20%. This will be determined on a case by case basis depending on the circumstances.
  • The product has been incorrectly supplied by Ballarat Trailers & Towbars.
