28 Aug Hayman Reese Towbar for the JAC T9 Hunter PHEV Now Available — Fitted Right Here in Ballarat
The JAC T9 Hunter PHEV is one of the newest utes landing in Australian driveways in 2026 — a plug-in hybrid built for buyers who want the fuel savings and low running costs of electric power without giving up a tradie’s or a tourer’s towing capability. If that’s the ute in your shed, we’ve now got the Hayman Reese towbar sorted for it, and we can supply and fit it here in Ballarat.

What’s in the box
Hayman Reese’s 03601RW is a Class 4 heavy-duty towbar rated to 3500kg towing capacity and 350kg ball weight — plenty for a caravan, a box trailer loaded with fencing gear, or the boat down to the Barwon. It’s an exposed design with a black powder-coated finish and a standard 50mm square hitch receiver with chrome collar, so no bumper cut is needed on the Hunter PHEV. It comes standard with a removable Towball Mount (TBM) — pull the retaining clip and hitch pin and the whole ball mount slides straight out when you’re not towing, so there’s nothing hanging off the back of your new ute on the school run. Rated D-shackles are included for off-road coupling too.
Why Hayman Reese
This isn’t a generic aftermarket bracket. The 03601RW was engineered using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and physically tested in Hayman Reese’s own NATA-accredited testing laboratory at their Melbourne production facility, to Australian ADR standards. That backs it with a lifetime warranty for the original owner — the kind of confidence you want bolted to a brand-new vehicle.
